LEF Ingenieros has reached a commercial agreement with GEA to jointly carry out projects in which the industry demands the recovery and recovery of its oils and greases present in sewage sludge.

Industrial wastewater containing oil and grease is often treated with dissolved air flotation (DAF). The resulting sludge is normally dehydrated and destined for authorized waste managers, constituting an expense. But this fat can also be recovered as a valuable product.

The recovered fat can be used locally as a source of energy and heat or it can be sold for biodiesel production or chemical applications.
